At about 7:30 o’clock in the evening last July 4, 2011, Monday, my son had his right ear checked-up because it was swelling. The doctor prescribed an anti-biotic. Immediately after dinner, his mother gave him the anti-biotic.
Later at early dawn, about 1:30 o’clock in the morning of the next day, he woke up and was really in pain. He had a hard time going back to sleep. So, we decided to bring him to the hospital. We went to the Cebu doctor’s hospital.
At the emergency area, the lady doctor who attended to him gave a prescription for the pain. We went immediately to the hospital drug store and bought the pain reliever. My wife again immediately gave him the required dose as prescribed.
We went home at about 2:45 o’clock in the morning. I told him that it was okay if he will not attend school in the morning so he can rest. But I was surprised because he woke-up at about 5:00 o’clock. He said he wanted to go to school and does not want to be absent. I was really amazed because albeit he was tired and in pain, he wanted to attend school.
His mother was in school the whole day. She informed the school nurse that he has to take his medicine and informed the teacher that he was in pain. And, she will be at the fetcher’s area if she is needed. In fact, the teacher asked my son if he wants to go home but he did not want to.
Despite all, he still had good scores in his seat work and quiz.
